NBA Abuja (Unity Bar) Kicks Off Activities For Its Annual Law Week 2022

The Abuja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (Unity Bar) will on Sunday 5th June 2022 hold a Church Thanksgiving Mass at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Maitama by 10am prompt, as part of activities marking its 2022 Annual Law Week.
A notice signed by the Alternate Chairman of the Law Week Planning Committee, Mr Afam Okeke states that lawyers attending the service are expected to be robed for the Mass.
Thereafter, the Law Week Opening Ceremony will hold same day at the Diamond Hall of A-Class Event Centre, Kashim Ibrahim Way, Wuse 2, Abuja by 4pm prompt.
The Keynote Speaker at the Opening Ceremony is former Inspector General of Police, Dr Solomon Arase, Esq.
According to the statement, there would also be a post Opening Ceremony Cocktail at J-K Gadzama Court by 7pm prompt.
The Law Week which kicked off on Friday June 3, 2022 with Juma’at Prayer at the Uthman Bin Affan Mosque, opposite Banex Plaza, Wuse 2, Abuja also featured a free Health Check and Health walk on Saturday, June 4, 2022, followed by a Novelty Football Match between the Bench and the Bar at 4pm, same day.
The Law week will continue on Monday June 6, 2022 with the following discussions:
1) Positioning for the Future : Leveraging Networks, Specialisation and ICT at 9am – 12pm prompt.
2) Your Practice and Your Health (In partnership with Nigerian Medical Association, FCT Branch) 2pm -4pm.
On Tuesday, June 7, 2022 lawyers and invitees at the branch’s annual Law Week will witness an Interactive Session on “Advocating for Women and Children’s Rights in a Multi Sectorial Approach.” This session which is in partnership with National Human Rights Commission, NAPTIP and FIDA will take place by 9am – 12pm
The curtain will be drawn on the NBA Abuja Law week with the Annual Law Dinner, Networking, Entertainment and Awards event taking place by 7pm prompt.
