GIG Logistics Reportedly Holds Onto Law Student’s Items Four Months After Delivery Date

Anthony Odunsi, a law student at Ahmadu Bello University, has accused GIG Logistics, a delivery and logistics company with headquarters in Lagos, of failing to deliver his items.
Odunsi said that he bought a sweater vest and a pair of shoes on Amazon on January 16 but they have not been delivered to Nigeria.
“I bought shoes and a sweater vest on Amazon in January. And GIG was supposed to transport it. I initially wanted to opt for the go-faster option, but I noticed that the timeline was no different from the normal delivery time.”
Odun said that GIG’s go-faster option promised to deliver within 7 days at the cost of €88.68. He decided to pay €35.47 for the item to be shipped within two weeks.
“Early February, they sent me a mail saying the US customs had withheld the goods. At that point, I actually knew something was wrong because I heard that other shipping companies also reported the same problem with US customs,” he said.
Odunsi said GIG Logistics did not contact him earlier although they knew they wouldn’t comply with their agreement.
“After that message in February, usually every two weeks, they would send the same regurgitated message, saying they were doing everything they could,” he said.
A message from GIG Logistics
The law student also said GIG Logistics has been hard to reach, and that he can’t even reply to the messages sent to him by the delivery company.
