Innovation Award: Intellectual Property Institute Nigeria (IPIN) Confers Y. C. Maikyau, SAN With Yet Another Award

The Intellectual Property Institute Nigeria (IPIN) has conferred its prestigious Innovation Award on the Chairman of the NBA Welfare Committee, Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN FCIArb (UK), in recognition of his contributions to the welfare of lawyers and innovation in legal practice and Intellectual Property Law in Nigeria.
The Institute also inducted Maikyau as a Fellow of the Institute in recognition of his contributions to the development of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law in Nigeria.
The award which was presented by Dr. Oluwatobiloba Moody, the Country Head of the World Intellectual Property Organization, Nigeria was received on Maikyau’s behalf by Ms. Naomi Bankyu, who added youthful vigour and colour to the event.
The cerebral Learned Silk who was also inducted as a Fellow of the Intellectual Property Institute Nigeria (IPIN), is the recipient of a good number of awards that span the length of his career; and was also recently inducted as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (Nigeria). Other awardees at the ceremony included the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Honourable Justice John Terhemba Tsoho; Nureini Jimoh, SAN; Ezenwa Anumnu, amongst others.
